This – The KISS guide to Learning Guitar. A book I found in the attic. 
KISS stands for "Keep It Simple Stupid" It would have been great if the did.
I also used this – a guitar. Except my one was crap. I think. Or maybe it was me…..
However…..I did make some progress. Did you know that the thing that holds the strings is called the fingerboard? Well, it is.
I managed to play a couple of chords too.
My fingers hurt…….
Will fingers will hurt for a week or two. They’ll eventually develop hard paddy bits on top, as you get used to it.
A nice way to learn is to find tabs of songs you like, and try to play them. It’s what I do.
